Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.7 / 5 from 36 reviews.
This portable shower has been a game-changer for bathing my dogs, who are notoriously averse to the icy blast of a cold hose! It's a fantastic solution for gentle, warm washes, especially in colder weather. Setup and Operation: The shower is surprisingly straightforward to assemble. I've opted to power mine using a 12V AC/DC converter, which works flawlessly. The process of connecting it to a gas cylinder and firing it up is intuitive, and selecting the desired temperature is a breeze. The instant hot water is a real plus. Performance and Versatility: While the water pressure is adequate for my needs, I do agree with other reviewers who suggest it could be a bit stronger. However, it delivers a consistent flow that effectively cleans my pets. Beyond dog washing, I see this shower's potential as a reliable backup for home use during power outages or other emergencies. Imagine the comfort of a warm shower even when the main water heater is down! Build Quality and Design: The shower feels exceptionally well-made. All components exude a sense of premium quality and robust construction, suggesting it's designed for long-term durability. The materials are solid, and the overall design is thoughtful. Improvements and Considerations: My only real gripe is the absence of a dedicated AC adapter. While the included DC car adapter is useful for mobile use, having to adapt it for standard home power is a minor inconvenience. An AC adapter included in the package would elevate the user experience significantly. Overall: Despite the slight pressure and adapter issues, this portable shower is a brilliant piece of kit. It's versatile, well-built, and offers a practical solution for various needs, from pet care to emergency preparedness. Highly recommended, especially if you value convenience and quality.
This is definitely a must have for anyone who enjoys camping or has a need for an external shower. It's fantastic for anywhere which doesn't have a shower and perfect for using after dog walks. I have been using this with my dogs over the last few weeks since the weather improved and found it's excellent for cleaning them after we've been on a muddy trek for example. I just load it in the car and once we're back to it - I can clean them off in no time. You need a separate LPG tank to produce the heat and the unit itself can be charged for the power of the pump or you can run directly from a 12v source that every vehicle has. You can also use the power outs which are for the piping to power other equipment too. The blue tube has a filter cap on the end and can be used in pretty much any water source you find. I've been carrying a tank of water when taking the dogs out. I just shove the tub into the tank and clean them before allowing them to get back into the car but you can use it directly from any open water sources such as rivers and streams, it's really handy! The main dial is used to control the temperature and depending on how hot you like it can be set to get the perfect temperature. It's pretty much instantly heated, this is fantastic in my view. There's no waiting around and you can also control the flow rate directly from the shower head. If you're needing to save on water you can turn it off and foam up, then turn back on and there's no loss of temperature. You can also change the flow here through different rates enabling you to get a harder pressure when needed. If you have any issues there's an indicator with an error list which has the corresponding problem listed as the side. It's self-explanatory and so far I've had no errors but if you do they can be easily rectified. I will definitely be using this in summer when camping too, there's nothing worse than being unable to have a good wash and with this you're no longer tied to camping sites with facilities.
Prodotto ottimo!
This is a lightweight, portable, on demand water heater that heats up fast, comes with everything you need right out of the box, and heats water so efficiently that it literally saves you money from not wasting propane. Coupled with a refillable bottle, this sleek little gizmo is an off grid dream. Works great, was easy to setup and use, and packs away really small. Love it. I already bought another one for family.
Works great. Two things I would like to be updated are more Charging options and make it easier to let through air when emptying the water hoses. Otherwise it's a great product.
What an incredible bit of kit.. away at a festival for the weekend so tried it out at home 1st as you would..it's got power ,heat, and the only thing that's heavy is our over sized gas bottle we had spare...had to buy a 21mm regulator to fit it ....look forward to staying fresh in this hot weather while camping...
Perfect for a small camper, changed regulator to screw in for calor gas bottle.
Very pleased with the unit, the shower head requires additional support as the clip is not strong enough to hold the head in position.
The shower quality is ideal 3l per minute gives a decent shower with sutable water pressure from a 25l tank.
Use in a drive away awning ?????????
Absolutely the best in every way Camplux the shower is unbelievable don’t take notice of bad reviews they don’t know what they’re talking about! This is amazing piece of kit, and company so helpful
Great item.. works great would recommend. I got it for my long haul truck driving jobs. Set it up in the back of the truck and bingo you have a great shower :)
Have only used it a dozen times, won’t charge up it’s battery from a 12v and it’s already stopped heating the water above 14 degrees, ironically it broke down a month after the return window closed, shame cause it was awesome when it worked!
That was my original review above, fair to leave it in, Even fairer to say I was contacted directly by the supplier who replaced my faulty unit no question….cheers guys for reaching out.
Happy customer again….just in time for the cold snap!!
*UPDATED REVIEW*
Camplux very kindly sent a replacement unit and we tested it when camping for a week. The first point I’d like to make is that this unit worked first time. I have owned the Joolca shower system and another battery powered camping shower by Escapade and all are good, but I have found that the Camplux nano 3 has the best temperature control. The shower head is great and gives a really luxurious feel to an outdoor shower.
The unit is very simple to put together, and you can literally have a shower running in a couple of minutes.
The regulator supplied isn’t one which fits any of the gas we use, so I fitted a different regulator which adheres to the specifications written in the extremely good manual and it worked brilliantly.
The unit needs a carry bag though, one should be available to buy. When camping with a young family space management is paramount to the experience. There are too many separate parts to the Camplux heater such as the charging cable, inlet hose with pump, outlet hose with shower head and shower head holder plus’s the spare washers and the heater itself to store effectively when your vehicle is already full of equipment. A bag is the answer.
Altogether this is the best camping shower I have used and really does make a difference to your travels.
*OLD REVIEW*
I bought this as the BougeRV version I bought previously didn’t work. Unfortunately it was the same situation with this one: I just couldn’t get it to light the gas? Everything else worked apart from the ignition. I’m not the only person to have had this issue so I’m thinking there has been a bad batch.
For those who enjoy traveling off the beaten path—far from traditional campsites—having access to warm water quickly becomes something you truly appreciate. During my own camper trips, I looked for a compact solution that wouldn't require a permanent electrical hookup. Installing this portable unit is refreshingly straightforward and can be done quickly, even without any technical expertise. All the water and gas connections fit together perfectly, meaning the system is ready for use in just a few minutes. The integrated water pump, in particular, adds a great deal of flexibility, as it allows you to draw water directly from a portable canister.
In operation, the ignition kicks in the moment the water starts flowing. The water heats up remarkably fast, quickly reaching a comfortable temperature for showering or washing dishes. While a flow rate of three liters per minute might sound modest at first, it is more than sufficient for personal hygiene while outdoors. This controlled flow also helps conserve your water supply—a significant advantage when staying in one spot for an extended period. You can also fine-tune the temperature, allowing you to adjust the heat exactly to your preference.
Even after several uses in cooler outdoor temperatures, the heating process remained consistently reliable, with no erratic fluctuations. The unit itself is solidly built and easily withstands the rigors of being transported in a vehicle. Thanks to its low weight and compact dimensions, the system takes up very little valuable storage space. For me, this little device has been a huge upgrade for every camping trip. If you value independent travel and appreciate the comfort of a warm shower, this is an excellent purchase.

E6 error code is not a quality issue. To prevent burns, our water heater turns off and displays an E6 error code at around 50℃. If you're experiencing this, check for a blocked water pump or adjust the power knob before restarting.
